Watch them Dogs!!!

        I was reading through the scripture and I came across a scripture that I heard preached on by a man by the name of Brother Kenny Mills. I heard him preach this almost 20 years ago and I will never forget that night. See Bro. Kenny Mills was an evangelist with the Assembly of God down in the Texas, Louisiana and Arkansas area I was in and he was a personal friend of the pastor of the Church I got saved in and was attending. Bro. Kenny was a good size man who was not afraid to make fun of his weight (in a good way) but when he brought forth the word of God, you knew you had heard from the Master. The annointing that would come forth onthis man was amazing, and in everything he did he did for the Kingdom of God.
      The Scripture he preached on was Phillipians 3:2 which states "Watch out for those dogs, those men who do evil, those mutilators of the flesh. ". Now the title of his Message was WATCH THEM DOGS. I am going to title my blog tonight the same thing in honor of that message all those years ago, because the one thing I remember most about that night, was that God moved in a mighty way and I saw lives changed like never before and I knew wxactly what he was talking about.
        If you go to the Merriam-Webster Dictionary and look up the word Dog, you will find a couple of definitions. One of them is of course the one you would expect that says it is  a highly variable domestic mammal, closely related to the gray wolf .Another one of the defintions states that a Dog is a worthless or contemptible person. Biblically speaking it, the Greek word for Dog was KVWV, pronounced koo'-ohn. This was a primary word that in the text of this scripture means a metophor for an ungoldly man with impure minds exercising immoral ways which will exclude them from the New Jerusalem. So as you can see the word DOG in this scripture means pretty much the same today as it did in the original context.
        You see in this world we live in, the "Dogs" are everywhere. Whne we turn on the news in the evenings or we get on the web. Now the obvious ones are the murderers, the child molesters, the abusive spouses (Male or Female), the drug dealers, the porn peddlers, the homosexuals, and I could go on an on with this list, but there is one DOG that I feel must be brought out to the front. You see this person is the "Big" Dog in the arena as far as I am concerned. This person could be classified as the Pit Bull, which according to American Veterinary Medical Association, the CDC, and the Humane Society of the United States, is classified as the most dangerous dog in the U.S., because of their use in dog fighting. This DOG would be the FALSE PROHPET/PREACHER. Just this past week we witnessed what a false prophet/preacher is capable of doing. Of course I am speaking of Harold Camping, the head of the Family Radio broadcasting network out of California. You see Mr. Camping told people the Rapture of the Church would take place on May 21, 2011. He preached this message for years , scaring people into quitting jobs, spending all their savings with his ministry to get the word out, to saying things to people they normally would not say. He spent millions on billboards and tracts and radio advertising and even had the news channels like CNN or FoxNews talking about it on the 21st. And of course as we all know , the 21st of May came and went and nothing happened. Now for the record this is at least twice that  Harold Camping has predicted the raprure of the church and Christ's return , and as we all know he has been wrong both times. But He is not the only one out there spreading false doctrine. Others do it in such a manner that most people have no idea they are being taught wrong. Your so called Prosperity Gospel preachers, such as Joel Osteen, Robert Tilton and many more in my opinion, are also going about teaching according to them in the name of Jesus, but someone tell me when is the last time you heard Joel Osteen preach Jesus Crucified for our sin and we need to repent of that sin and accept Christ as saviour or we will spend an eternity in hell? I woul dgo out on a limb and almost be willing to say never. I watched this man on Larry King live and heard Larry ask him why dont you preach repentence for sin's committed,and do you believe that Jesus is the only way to Heaven.Joel Osteen danced all the way around that subject, even saying he wouldn't say a muslim, or a hindu was wrong. He said he can't judge someones heart and that it's wrong when we say someone who doesn't know Jesus is going to hell. He even said he wouldn't say an atheist is going to hell. Benny Hinn, who has been lumped into this batch is another one who was actually investigated by the US Goverment for his money handling of his ministry. Now I realize these are simply men, and nothing special about them but ya know what, what they are doing is preying on those who have not learned how to discern the spirits, who have not learned how to test the spirit.
        1 John 4:1-6 says "¹ Dear friends, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world. ² This is how you can recognize the Spirit of God: Every spirit that acknowledges that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God, ³ but every spirit that does not acknowledge Jesus is not from God. This is the spirit of the antichrist, which you have heard is coming and even now is already in the world.
 ⁴ You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world. ⁵ They are from the world and therefore speak from the viewpoint of the world, and the world listens to them. ⁶ We are from God, and whoever knows God listens to us; but whoever is not from God does not listen to us. This is how we recognize the Spirit^[a] of truth and the spirit of falsehood." You see we are to test the spirits to see from whom they come. By making sure the preacher or prophet you sit under acknoledges Christ as Lord and Saviour, and is willing to stand up and let people know that Jesus Christ is the only way to Heaven, then you will know that you are under the teaching of a truly God called man. If you have tested the Spirits and come to the conclusion that you are under a true man of God, then lift that preacher/pastor/teacher up in prayer daily and make sure you let them know you appreciate them and the job they are doing. If you have tested the spirits and are unsure or uneasy , then walk away brother remebering the word sof Phhilipian 3:2 to "Watch those Dogs". For you see those Dogs may lead you one way for a short time , but as Psalm 59:14-15 says " They return at evening, snarling like dogs, and prowl about the city. They wander about for food and howl if not satisfied. ". They will howl and they will howl loudly, calling it preaching, for they shall never be satisfied as long as they are teaching a false doctrine.For as Merriam-Websters states, a dog is nothing more than a worthless or contemptible person.
                But brothers stand firm in this. John 10:10 says " The thief, (the dog) cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I (Jesus) am come that they might have life, and that they might have [it] more abundantly". I leave you with the words of Brother kenny all those years ago, WATCH THEM DOGS!!! brother and sister WATCH THEM DOGS!!!.
